Alcázar of Seville
The Royal Alcázar of Seville is a palace complex that grew out of the Islamic citadel begun in the 10th century and was rebuilt after the Castilian conquest of 1248. At its centre is the Mudéjar palace Pedro I built in the 1360s, around the Patio de las Doncellas, with Gothic and Renaissance halls and large gardens beside it.
