Marjan

Marjan is a 178-metre hill on the peninsula west of Split's old town, covered in Mediterranean pine forest and protected as a forest park. Paths and stone steps lead from the Varoš quarter past small churches to viewpoints over the city, the islands and the mountains inland, and beaches lie along its shore.
