Fort De Soto Park
Fort De Soto Park, at the mouth of Tampa Bay south of St. Petersburg, is a Pinellas County park spread over five islands. It has Gulf beaches, two fishing piers, kayak trails and camping, and the coastal fort built in 1898 for the Spanish–American War, whose 12-inch mortars are the only ones of their kind left in the United States.
