Lofoten War Memorial Museum

The Lofoten War Memorial Museum fills the ground floor of Svolvær's former post office from 1923, near the eastern harbour. Opened on 15 June 1996 from William Hakvaag's private collection and part of Museum Nord since 2010, it shows about 140 uniforms and many smaller objects from the German occupation of 1940–1945 and the Lofoten raid of 4 March 1941.
