Vågan Church

Vågan Church, known as the Lofoten Cathedral, is a timber cruciform church in Gothic Revival style at Kjerkvågen, about 1 km east of Kabelvåg. Designed by Carl Julius Bergstrøm, it was consecrated in October 1898 with 1,200 seats for the fishermen of the Lofoten fishery. Inside are an altarpiece from 1861, 17th-century chandeliers and a Bible printed in 1589.
