Gaomei Wetlands

Gaomei Wetlands is a tidal flat of about 300 hectares on the coast of Qingshui District, around 23 km north-west of central Taichung, protected as a wildlife refuge. A wooden boardwalk leads out over the mud, where crabs and shorebirds can be seen at low tide, and a line of wind turbines stands along the shore.
