Lecheng Temple

Lecheng Temple in Taichung's East District is a Mazu temple founded in 1753 by Lin family settlers who brought a statue of the goddess from Meizhou. Its main hall dates from 1924 and its front hall from 1929, both by master carpenter Chen Ying-bin. Every third lunar month its Mazu sets out on a pilgrimage through eighteen villages.
