Aristotelous Square

Aristotelous Square is the main square of Thessaloniki, running from Egnatia Street down to the waterfront on Nikis Avenue. It was planned by the French architect Ernest Hébrard after the fire of 1917, but most of it was built in the 1950s, and the twelve buildings framing it, many with arcades at street level, have been listed since 1950.
