Canaveral National Seashore

Canaveral National Seashore is a protected barrier-island coast between New Smyrna Beach and Titusville, created by Congress in 1975 and run by the National Park Service. It covers 24 miles of undeveloped beach and dunes in three sections, Apollo, Klondike and Playalinda, plus much of Mosquito Lagoon and Turtle Mound, a 35-foot shell midden.
