The Puente de Alcántara is a Roman arch bridge over the Tagus at the eastern entrance to Toledo, below the Castle of San Servando. Rebuilt in the 10th and 13th centuries, it has two arches, a medieval gate tower at its western end with the arms of the Catholic Monarchs, and a Baroque triumphal arch of 1721 at its eastern end.
