Karl Marx House

The Karl Marx House is an 18th-century townhouse in Trier where the philosopher and economist Karl Marx was born in 1818. Since 1947 it has operated as a museum run by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, with exhibits on his life, his writings and the spread of his ideas.
