Hill of Tara

The Hill of Tara near Navan in County Meath is an ancient ceremonial and burial site that tradition names as the seat of the High Kings of Ireland. Its earthworks date from the Neolithic to the Iron Age and include the Mound of the Hostages passage tomb, ring enclosures and a standing stone believed to be the Lia Fáil. A church stands on the hilltop.
