Gamla Uppsala Museum

Gamla Uppsala Museum stands beside the royal mounds in Gamla Uppsala, north of central Uppsala, in a timber-clad building by the architect Carl Nyrén that opened in 2000. The ground floor tells the site's history from the Iron Age with recent excavation results, and the upper floor shows original finds from the mounds and an exhibition on the runestones of Uppland.
