Windsor Castle is a royal residence above the River Thames in Windsor, founded in the 11th century after the Norman conquest and used by monarchs since Henry I. Visitors see the State Apartments, rebuilt for Charles II and George IV, and the 15th-century St George's Chapel, where several monarchs are buried.

Eton College is a boys' boarding school in Eton, across the Thames from Windsor, founded in 1440 by Henry VI. Its red-brick courts and late Gothic chapel lie at the north end of Eton High Street. The school itself is private, but the Museum of Eton Life, the Museum of Antiquities and the Natural History Museum open to visitors at set times.

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is a Lego-themed park on the south-western edge of Windsor, opened on 17 March 1996 on the site of the former Windsor Safari Park and run by Merlin Entertainments. It has more than 55 rides and attractions aimed at younger children, and Miniland, where buildings and townscapes are rebuilt in Lego bricks.

Windsor Great Park is a royal park of about 2,020 hectares south of Windsor, on the border of Berkshire and Surrey, once the hunting ground of Windsor Castle and now managed by the Crown Estate. The tree-lined Long Walk runs about 4 km from the castle to the Copper Horse, a statue of George III, and the park also includes Virginia Water lake and a deer park.

amusement park · Chertsey Thorpe Park is a theme park run by Merlin Entertainments on flooded former gravel pits between Chertsey and Staines-upon-Thames in Surrey. It opened in 1979 as a leisure park and became a theme park in the 1980s. Its roller coasters include Stealth, Colossus, Nemesis Inferno, The Swarm and Hyperia, which opened in 2024.
