Mendut Temple

Mendut Temple is a 9th-century Buddhist temple in Magelang, Central Java, about three kilometres east of Borobudur and north-west of Yogyakarta. Its outer walls carry reliefs of bodhisattvas, and the main chamber holds three large stone statues: a three-metre Buddha Vairocana flanked by the bodhisattvas Avalokiteśvara and Vajrapani.
