Prambanan

Prambanan is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound on the plain about 17 km north-east of Yogyakarta, on the border of the Yogyakarta region and Central Java. Dedicated to Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, it is dominated by the 47-metre Shiva temple, inaugurated in 856. The compound once held 240 temples and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
