Aksla

Aksla is the 189-metre hill that rises directly above central Ålesund on the island of Nørvøy. A stairway of 418 steps climbs from the town park to the Fjellstua viewpoint, also reached by road, which looks out over the town spread across its islands, the harbour, the outer islands and the mountains beyond; German bunkers from the occupation remain on the hill.
