Ålesund Church

Ålesund Church is the parish church on the island of Aspøya in central Ålesund, built after the fire of 1904 destroyed its predecessor. Designed by Sverre Knudsen and consecrated in 1909, the long stone church is faced with about 2,000 square metres of marble and draws on medieval and Romanesque church building, with round-arched windows and a tower.
