Banff Park Museum

The Banff Park Museum in downtown Banff, built in 1903 to a design by John Stocks, is the oldest building maintained by Parks Canada and an early example of rustic park architecture. Its timber-framed hall holds a natural history collection of about 5,000 specimens of the park's animals, birds, plants and minerals, much of it gathered by curator Norman Sanson.
