Johnston Canyon

Johnston Canyon is a limestone gorge cut by Johnston Creek beside the Bow Valley Parkway, between the town of Banff and Lake Louise in Banff National Park. A walkway with railings and bridges follows the sheer canyon walls past waterfalls and pools, and a longer trail continues to the Ink Pots, six spring-fed pools in a meadow above. In winter, climbers scale the frozen falls.
