Two Towers

The Two Towers are a pair of leaning medieval towers on Piazza di Porta Ravegnana, traditionally built by the Asinelli and Garisenda families between 1109 and 1119. The Asinelli rises 97.2 metres; the Garisenda, 48 metres high with a stronger lean, has been fenced off since 2023 for stabilisation work.
