Gudrun Hasle is a visual artist who, since graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, has made art out of her dyslexia and her personal life. The spelling in her works is the way she herself experiences the words – full of spelling mistakes. Dyslexia is thus often a focal point and a device in the works. For the exhibition room "Kampen om byen" (The Battle for the City), about activist movements in Copenhagen – from the Slumstormere to the BZ movement – Hasle has created the work "Du tog min hånd" (You Took My Hand). It is a text-based work, executed as a ceiling painting in the room in blue, handwritten text.
