religious building · Engelberg Engelberg Abbey is a Benedictine monastery founded in 1120. Its Baroque church and convent buildings were rebuilt after a fire in 1729; the church also serves as Engelberg's parish church and has an organ with 137 stops. Guided tours lead through the Baroque hall, the guest refectory, the church and an exhibition of manuscripts made by the monks in the 12th century.

tourist attraction · Engelberg Titlis is a 3,238 m mountain above Engelberg. Cable cars run from Engelberg via Trübsee and Stand to the Klein Titlis station at 3,028 m; the last stage is the Rotair, whose cabin turns as it rises over the glacier. At the top are an illuminated glacier cave and the Titlis Cliff Walk, a 100 m suspension bridge opened in 2012.
