Powerscourt Estate near Enniskerry, County Wicklow, centres on a Palladian house remodelled by Richard Cassels between 1731 and 1741 on the site of a 13th-century castle. A fire in 1974 left the house a shell until it was renovated in 1996. The 19 hectares of gardens include terraces, the Triton Lake, a Japanese garden, an Italian garden and walled gardens.

tourist attraction · Enniskerry Powerscourt Waterfall is a 121-metre waterfall on the River Dargle near Enniskerry, County Wicklow, where the river drops from the Glensoulan valley into a steep corrie below the peaks of Djouce and Maulin. It belongs to the Powerscourt Estate and lies about 5 km south of Powerscourt House, with a parkland of grass and trees at its foot.
