Palmengarten

Palmengarten is a 22-hectare botanical garden in Frankfurt's Westend-Süd district, opened in 1871 after being privately financed by architect Heinrich Siesmayer. Taken over by the city in 1931, its glasshouses were rebuilt after wartime damage and restored by 1992. Plants are grouped by origin across open-air and heated houses.
