Glasgow City Chambers

Glasgow City Chambers is the seat of Glasgow City Council on the east side of George Square, designed by William Young in Beaux-Arts style and inaugurated by Queen Victoria in 1888. The sculpted pediment marks her Golden Jubilee, and inside, the banqueting hall is decorated with murals by the painters known as the Glasgow Boys.
