Gothenburg Botanical Garden

The Gothenburg Botanical Garden covers about 175 hectares around the Stora Änggården estate, most of it the Änggårdsbergen nature reserve with an arboretum. Opened in stages from 1919 and inaugurated in 1923, its cultivated part of some 40 hectares holds a large rock garden, the Japanese Glade and rhododendron collections. The greenhouses are being rebuilt.
