Bright Angel Trail

The Bright Angel Trail descends from the South Rim at Grand Canyon Village towards the Colorado River, following a natural break in the cliffs once used by the Havasupai. Switchbacks pass rest houses at 1.5 and 3 miles and reach Havasupai Gardens after about 7 km and 930 metres of descent; most day hikers turn back well before that.
