The Bishop's Castle on Győr's Chapter Hill has been the seat of the bishops of Győr since the Middle Ages and is still their residence. Its core is a medieval residential tower, rebuilt as a fortress in 1561–1575 and later in Baroque form; visitors climb the tower of almost 40 metres, which has exhibitions on its landings and a view over the town.
