tourist attraction · San Sebastián La Concha is the crescent-shaped city beach of San Sebastián, lining the Bay of La Concha between the old town and the Miramar Palace, with Santa Clara Island in the middle of the bay. A promenade with a white iron railing runs along it. The tide changes the width of the sand considerably over the day.

The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd is a Neo-Gothic church in San Sebastián's Ensanche, designed by the local architect Manuel Echave. Building began in 1888 and it was consecrated in 1897; the 75-metre bell tower by Ramón Cortázar followed in 1899. It became the cathedral of the new Diocese of San Sebastián in 1953.

The Miramar Palace was the summer residence of the Spanish royal family in San Sebastián, built for Queen Maria Christina to a design by the English architect Selden Wornum and finished in 1893 under José Goicoa. The English-style brick house stands above La Concha Bay. The city has owned it since 1972; its gardens are open to the public and the palace hosts courses and events.

sculpture · San Sebastián The Peine del Viento is a group of three steel sculptures by Eduardo Chillida, each weighing about 10 tonnes, set into rocks at the western end of Ondarreta beach in San Sebastián. The granite terrace around them was designed by the architect Luis Peña Ganchegui. Completed in 1976, the site has vents in the paving through which breaking waves push air and spray.
