Hanauma Bay

Hanauma Bay is a volcanic crater on Oʻahu's southeast coast, about 15 km east of Waikīkī, whose seaward wall has eroded to form a curved bay. A nature preserve since 1967, it protects a shallow coral reef where visitors snorkel among reef fish and green sea turtles. Every visitor first watches a short film on protecting the reef.
