Dalt Vila

Dalt Vila is the walled upper town of Ibiza, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture since 1999. Its Renaissance walls, built in the 16th century under Charles V, form an irregular heptagon with a bastion at each corner. The main gate, the Portal de ses Taules, keeps its drawbridge, and steep lanes climb to the cathedral and the castle.
