Ragunan Zoo

Ragunan Zoo is a 140-hectare zoological park in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, run by the city. It traces back to Batavia's zoo founded in Cikini in 1864 and moved here in 1966. Some 2,000 animals of over 300 species live in wooded grounds, including Sumatran tigers, Komodo dragons and Sumatran elephants, with gorillas and orangutans in the Schmutzer Primate Centre.
