Kalmar County Museum

Kalmar County Museum is the regional museum of cultural history for Kalmar County, housed since 1987 in the former Kalmar steam mill by the harbour. One floor shows finds from the royal warship Kronan, which exploded and sank off Öland in 1676, including bronze cannons and coin hoards; other exhibitions cover the illustrator Jenny Nyström and the county's past.
