About Kansas City
Kansas City, Missouri, has the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Union Station and the jazz and baseball museums of 18th and Vine. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art stands in a sculpture park south of downtown. Union Station faces the National WWI Museum and Memorial across a lawn, and the Crown Center complex next door holds SEA LIFE and LEGOLAND Discovery Center. East of downtown, the 18th and Vine district has the American Jazz Museum and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum under one roof. The Arabia Steamboat Museum is in the River Market, and the zoo lies in Swope Park. Two days cover the main sights.
