About Key West
Key West is the island city at the end of the Florida Keys, with wooden houses, shipwreck museums and sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. Duval Street crosses the Old Town from Mallory Square, where the Sunset Celebration gathers every evening, to the Atlantic. Close by are the Key West Aquarium and the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum, with finds from the galleon Atocha. Whitehead Street leads past the Audubon House, the Ernest Hemingway Home and the lighthouse to the Southernmost Point Buoy. Truman's Little White House and Fort Zachary Taylor lie to the west. Two days cover the Old Town on foot or by bike.
