Southernmost Point Buoy

The Southernmost Point Buoy is a painted concrete marker at the corner of South and Whitehead Streets in Key West, set up by the city in 1983. About 3.7 metres tall, it carries the words '90 miles to Cuba' and marks a point long called the southernmost in the continental United States, though a beach nearby lies farther south.
