Wat Plai Laem

Wat Plai Laem is a modern Buddhist temple in the north-east of Ko Samui, near Wat Phra Yai, whose design blends Chinese and Thai traditions and was partly by the artist Jarit Phumdonming. Its lake holds an ordination hall on a platform and an open-air statue of the eighteen-armed Guanyin, with a white statue of Budai and shrines to Hindu deities nearby.
