Marco Polo House

Marco Polo House is a Gothic-Renaissance complex on Depolo Street in Korčula's old town that local tradition has named as Marco Polo's birthplace since the 1950s. After years of restoration the Town Museum opened the Marco Polo Centre here in 2023, with maps, books, a model galley and displays on the 1298 sea battle off Korčula in which he was taken prisoner.
