Korčula Cathedral

St Mark's Cathedral stands on the highest point of Korčula's old town peninsula and was built by local stonemasons between the early 15th and the mid-16th century. Its portal is the work of Bonino da Milano, and inside is an altarpiece by Tintoretto showing St Mark with St Bartholomew and St Jerome. It lost its cathedral status when the diocese was abolished in 1828.
