Grand Curtius

The Grand Curtius is a museum complex on the Meuse in Liège, opened in 2009, joining the city's collections of archaeology, decorative arts, religious and Mosan art, weapons and glass. Its core is the Palais Curtius, a red-brick mansion built around 1600 for the arms dealer Jean Curtius. Exhibits include the Evangeliary of Notger and Ingres' portrait of Bonaparte as First Consul.
