Royal Liver Building

The Royal Liver Building at the Pier Head was completed in 1911 as the head office of Royal Liver Assurance, designed by Walter Aubrey Thomas and one of the early buildings with a reinforced concrete frame. A copper Liver bird stands on each of its two clock towers. Since 2019 guided tours take visitors up the west clock tower.
