The Cavern Club

The Cavern Club is a cellar music venue on Mathew Street in Liverpool, opened as a jazz club in 1957, where the Beatles played 292 times between 1961 and 1963. The original cellar was filled in during railway works in 1973; the club reopened in 1984 in a reconstruction built partly with bricks from the old site, and has live music every day.
