Notre-Dame Cathedral

Notre-Dame Cathedral was built in 1613–1621 as the church of the Jesuit college and became Luxembourg's cathedral in 1870. The late Gothic building with Renaissance details was enlarged in 1935–1938. Inside are the venerated statue of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted, patron of the city and the country, and a crypt with the tombs of the grand ducal family.
