Luxor Temple

Luxor Temple stands on the east bank of the Nile in the centre of Luxor and was built mainly by Amenhotep III and Ramesses II from around 1400 BC. A single obelisk and colossal statues of Ramesses II flank its entrance pylon. Inside are colonnaded courts, Roman-era wall paintings and the Abu Haggag Mosque built into the ruins.
