Mannheim Water Tower

The Mannheim Water Tower is a 60-metre sandstone tower built between 1886 and 1889 by architect Gustav Halmhuber as the city's first central water supply tower. It stands at the centre of Friedrichsplatz, a park laid out from 1899 to 1903 with a cascade fountain and rose garden, and has been a protected landmark since 1987.
