Old Port of Montreal

The Old Port of Montreal is the historic harbour on the St. Lawrence River beside Old Montreal, stretching for more than 2 km. French fur traders used it from 1611; shipping moved to the new port in the east in 1976, and the quays were redeveloped as a public waterfront in the early 1990s, with promenades, the Clock Tower, a science centre and river cruises.
