tourist attraction · Mykonos Little Venice is the waterfront quarter of Alefkandra in Mykonos town, where rows of houses stand directly on the shore with wooden balconies hanging over the sea. The first were built in the mid-18th century for merchants and ship captains, and many now hold bars, cafés and galleries. The Kato Mili windmills stand on the hill just to the south.

The Mykonos Windmills are a row of round, whitewashed windmills with thatched conical roofs on the Kato Mili hill above the Alefkandra waterfront in Mykonos town. Most were built from the 16th century onwards, under Venetian rule, to grind wheat, and they stopped working in the mid-20th century. The hill looks out over Little Venice and the bay.

The Archaeological Museum of Mykonos stands near the old port of Mykonos town in a neoclassical building completed in 1905. It was founded to house finds from the burial ground on the neighbouring islet of Rhenia, the cemetery of ancient Delos. The collection covers pottery, grave stelae and funerary statues, including the 7th-century BC Mykonos pithos showing the fall of Troy.
