Carré d'Art

Carré d'Art is a cultural centre designed by Norman Foster and opened in 1993 across the square from the Maison Carrée, on the site of the city's former theatre. Built of glass, concrete and steel, it houses the municipal library and a museum of contemporary art whose collection of about 600 works covers art from the 1960s to today.
