Kuromon Market

Kuromon Market is a covered shopping street of about 150 shops in Nippombashi, Chūō ward, running for some 580 m. It began in the early 19th century as a fish market in front of the black gate of Enmyō-ji temple, which gave it its name, and today sells seafood, meat, fruit and vegetables, with many stalls grilling food to eat on the spot.
